不能直接打 something 嗎?
他們之間有甚麼差別?
else（其它、另外）就是用來強調的，只有something也正確，但不夠好，else可以凸顯那一段文字中那個不對勁的something有多麼突兀。

這是被動式的分詞構句，她是「被」那個不對勁的東西引起注意，不是她去吸引那個東西，而被動式的基本型態之一就是Be.V+過去分詞+"by"，分詞構句則會在逗點後只保留過去分詞+"by"。
